Committee on Design
|
 |
The Committee on Design (COD) was founded to promote design
excellence among members of the AIA, the broader design community,
and the public, both nationally and internationally. To realize
this mission, the committee offers a range of activities intended
to encourage dialogue on the art of building.
The committees goals are
- To examine and promote knowledge of contemporary design
issues
- To compare current design and historic precedents, and to learn
from the contrast between them or the progression of ideas they
represent
- To advocate leadership roles for architects in the fields of
design and urban planning
The interdisciplinary culture of COD educational events enhances
the quality of the knowledge shared and provides unique exposure
for sponsors. COD members have connections throughout the
design and construction industries to individuals and entities that
are highly qualified prospective customers and business partners
for sponsoring organizations. COD welcomes as sponsors companies
that share COD members commitment to excellence in design and
construction. COD events and publications provide a variety of
sponsorship opportunities throughout the year that can accommodate
a diverse range of marketing strategies. COD currently consists
of more than 8,000 members.
To discuss sponsorship opportunities and availability, please
contact Kathleen Lane, Director Professional Practice at
klane@aia.org or 202-626-7468.
